So what’s the percentage? 50%? 33%? Do you have to look black? Are they using a color swatch? You must be darker than ——-? If 23 and me says I am 15% do I get a 15% discount?

@Loki I think a lot of it is simply TDS. No, I do not see this as 1968 at all. This was orchestrated from the ground up, and yeah, a lot of the suburbs are organizing marches to be on the right side.
Ridiculous on its face because the nation unanimously denounced the Floyd death. There's no way you can defend it.
The problem here is not a single person I have seen has offered up a solution to the problem that can be provided by government.

I think they should pass a law making it illegal to kill African Americans.

It's one day and really not a big deal. But it just strikes me as disrespectful to black people and the idea of equality. It's like a consolation prize. "Well, you didn't win the privilege lottery, but we still have a free lunch for you!!".
If I were black I wouldn't go anywhere near it.
What strikes me is just how varied the message is from everyone involved. Sure you've got the SJWs and the BLM crap, but I also can't tell you how many times I've heard black protesters preaching "all lives matter" or equivalent along with the George Floyd stuff.
Some asshole climbed a signpole yesterday afternoon outside of St. John's to steal the road sign and the entire crowd booed the shit out of him. When he got down a lot of people took his picture to send to the police.
Not everyone participating is trying to burn down a building or beat up demonstrators with batons. That's absolutely not the norm. And on day 6 I find that amazing.

I wonder if it was even legal to do that. I know lots of places offer a free "something" on your birthday, but everyone in theory can get the free "soemthing".
But for this, I am surprised that this would be okay.

An observation I have is a huge attempt by corporations and other entities to make statements and conduct other activities this week, perhaps in a concerted and sincere attempt to calm things down. It’s very interesting.

Because no one would dare object to it. But imagine if a restaurant offered a "free meals for white people" day.
That's funny, why would a white person pay?
White people don't pay for meals.
