    https://www.axios.com/2022/12/14/twitter-elon-musk-paying-bills-rent

The article reports that Twitter is delinquent on many bills, including rent for many of its offices worldwide.

@Axtremus it’s a pretty basic website - the customer facing experience won’t change much even if the ops teams get cut back even more.

        Musk's explanation:

Tesla stock is down 70% from its all time high a year ago.

@George-K That is weird. I've personally worked on a few projects that leverage ADS-B open flight tracking data. It's still open, and available on the internet, but I guess a user would just have to click a few more times to track a specific flight, including Elon's or Bezos'. It's all publicly available.

Indeed. I would guess that using bots to aggregate the info and make it easy to find on Twitter is the issue. Similar to a (remember those?) phone book. Yeah, the person's address is publicly available, but...

Busy cutting deals palling around with Jared and the Arabs while watching the World Cup final? There is a thread on that, right?

Twitter employee head count down by 80% since Elon Musk took over. Has 1300 employees now with 550 "engineers" (by title) among them.

                                Interesting.

I won't even try to pretend the implications of this. However, the platform is up and appears to be functioning pretty much as always.

Yeah, there's bugs, and changes to under-the-hood stuff, but it appears that, unlike predictions, it has survived.

                                At least for now.

Related, how are Truth Social, Mastodon, WeMe, and Parler doing?
