I would think that Twitter would have more to lose than Apple if the two got into a fight

Apple hates App Developers
Really Hates them
I have no idea why, the developers make them a fortune.
Maybe the developers can unionize and collectively bargain with Apple.
Depends on what app developers are willing to do to other app developers that don’t feel the same as them…
Labor unions gained power because they kicked the shit out of laborers that wouldn’t join them. Do you think App developers will do the same.

@George-K That is weird. I've personally worked on a few projects that leverage ADS-B open flight tracking data. It's still open, and available on the internet, but I guess a user would just have to click a few more times to track a specific flight, including Elon's or Bezos'. It's all publicly available.

Indeed. I would guess that using bots to aggregate the info and make it easy to find on Twitter is the issue. Similar to a (remember those?) phone book. Yeah, the person's address is publicly available, but...

Apparently Elon isn't as keen on those funny little practical jokes where he's the punchline.

Anyone notice that Musk has been really, uncharacteristically, quiet for 24 hours?
Busy
cutting dealspalling around with Jared and the Arabs while watching the World Cup final? There is a thread on that, right? -

https://www.cnbc.com/2023/01/20/twitter-is-down-to-fewer-than-550-full-time-engineers.html
Twitter employee head count down by 80% since Elon Musk took over. Has 1300 employees now with 550 "engineers" (by title) among them.

Interesting.
I won't even try to pretend the implications of this. However, the platform is up and appears to be functioning pretty much as always.
Yeah, there's bugs, and changes to under-the-hood stuff, but it appears that, unlike predictions, it has survived.
At least for now.
