Elon Musk buys a big chunk of Twitter

That sucks. Misstep for Apple to be making those noises IMO.
In an unrelated note, Sam Harris’ Twitter account seems to be gone. Maybe just a glitch. He’s been asking “tough questions” similar to the Milo question.

That’s not the reason. He just didn’t like the way Twitter and its negativity was affecting his perception of people.

In which he admits his disgust reflex overwhelms his reason, even as he understands rationally that it shouldn't. That's how I've always described the psychologies of TDS sufferers, as Sam is. I guess it's inevitable that humans will respect their own disgust reflex, rather than question it. It's our "full stop" emotion.

Good news. I figured Mr Cook was more pragmatic than how that threat about the Twitter app made him sound.

Apple hates App Developers
Really Hates them
I have no idea why, the developers make them a fortune.

Maybe the developers can unionize and collectively bargain with Apple.

I would think that Twitter would have more to lose than Apple if the two got into a fight

Depends on what app developers are willing to do to other app developers that don’t feel the same as them…
Labor unions gained power because they kicked the shit out of laborers that wouldn’t join them. Do you think App developers will do the same.

@George-K That is weird. I've personally worked on a few projects that leverage ADS-B open flight tracking data. It's still open, and available on the internet, but I guess a user would just have to click a few more times to track a specific flight, including Elon's or Bezos'. It's all publicly available.

Indeed. I would guess that using bots to aggregate the info and make it easy to find on Twitter is the issue. Similar to a (remember those?) phone book. Yeah, the person's address is publicly available, but...
