There is also a real possibility that some bots are designed to be detected, such that they backfire (which would then be the desired effect).

They call that a false flag.

@George-K I think the focus on bots is a pretense. He’s backing out, or trying to anyway, because his bid is too high given what’s happened in markets since the early spring.

      Only non-witches get due process.

Could be. It would certainly make sense. However, he started complaining about the lack of transparency wrt bots shortly after he made his bid, didn't he?

How about we make Elon an offer to purchase TNCR for just $43B? According to my last audit, we have less than 5% bots.

Traffic or accounts? I imagine our bot activity is very low, but not accounts to be very high…

If you zoom out enough, the line between an outraged leftist and a bot running its programming, is blurry. We’ve done our best to limit the outraged leftists on the board, but no system of moderation is perfect.

Twitter sues Elon Musk, setting stage for epic legal battle

The scathing legal complaint, calling the billionaire’s exit ‘a model of hypocrisy,’ kicks off what is likely to become one of the most contentious business trials in recent history

At first it surprised me since Musk has come out as a Republican, anti-woke, anti censorship on Twitter, etc. you’d think Trump would love him

Then I remembered Musk tweeted a few weeks ago that the GOP needs to move beyond Trump.

Trump is a single issue guy - doesn’t really matter what you politics are, it’s all about kissing the ring.

Exactly, If you dont kiss President Trumps shoes.......

He is turning into a caricature of himself, if that is possible.

                                        "Meine Ehre heisst Treue"

Google Translates tells me this means "Loyalty Is My Honor".

England's Richard III's motto was "Loyalty Bindeth Me."

Yep. And isn't "Semper fidelis" a thing at the US marine corps?

I think these are all really terrible mottos. Loyalty is important, but it should never be absolute and above everything else.

I never thought of this in this context before, but really, wouldn't you have to inculcate loyalty in a soldier in the field, to keep him in the field? What is to keep him from deserting otherwise, if it isn't loyalty to the protection of his country? Or more immediately and powerfully, the protection of his fellow platoon mates?

I was almost out of popcorn.

                                          Musk reinstates original offer.

Elon Musk has reversed course and is again proposing to buy Twitter for $54.20 a share, according to a regulatory filing on Tuesday. Twitter shares closed up more than 22% on the news.

The social media company issued a statement saying it had received the letter and said, “The intention of the Company is to close the transaction at $54.20 per share.”

A deal could happen as soon as Friday, sources told CNBC. The stock was halted earlier in the day after Bloomberg first reported on the Tesla CEO’s plans to go forth with his deal to acquire the company.

The SEC filing says Musk sent a letter to Twitter on Monday, notifying the company of his intent to proceed with the transaction agreed upon on April 25, the day the deal was publicly announced.

A few weeks after Musk agreed to that deal, valuing Twitter at $44 billion, he quickly tried to back out, officially informing the company in July of his intentions to terminate the agreement. Twitter sued Musk to force him to go through with the purchase. The two sides were scheduled to go to trial in Delaware Chancery Court on Oct. 17.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
