What I like to do is find a boomer at Starbucks and start a timer. I start talking to them, and find out how long it takes them to tell me just how black and dark they like their coffee, without any sugar because they never use sugar.
Bonus points if you can get them talking about oat milk all on their own.
Oh man, I love black coffee. The darker the better. No creamer for me. But if I did use cream, it would be heavy cream. No 1% or skim milk for me. What’s the point? And Almond Milk? For fuck’s sake, how do you milk an almond? I’ve never seen any teats on a nut. What’s that on the menu? Oatmilk? I don’t mind a little milk on my oatmeal… No brown sugar though. Oats, milk, and a few blueberries. Maybe some nuts, but none with teats, please.
That's pretty much how it goes.
"Say this is entirely unrelated, but what do you think about synthetic oil?"

Off topic but on topic, I use exclusively synthetic oil. Better for your engine, fewer oil changes per year.
My daughter likes oat milk. She used to drink almond milk but switched.
Aqua, I am a friendly person in lines, but I would never talk about what I order. And it would be a rarity for me to stand in line at Starbucks.

Well my thing wasn't entirely literal, I was just messing around.
But okay, a lot closer to the truth: I do have these conversations, but usually it's at Panera, not Starbucks. Because of the daytime clientele.
During the day, the folks in Starbucks are asshole kids hogging the wifi to work on their screenplays or whatever, out-of-town suits who are also hogging up the wifi, the odd real estate/contractor meeting and the odd retiree.
During the day, the folks in Panera are, exclusively, addicts working their NA or AA program with their sponsor, bible study groups, and retiree meetups. ...The line between each of these is a little blurred sometimes, too.

I mean, it's really the same process used by dairy farmers and cows. First you take the almonds (or oats) and mix them with water in a blender. Maybe add a little salt or any other ingredients you want. Then once thoroughly blended, strain out the liquid. Like I said, pretty much the same thing farmers do with cows.

It's almond juice.
It's similar to what you get if you milk a male cow.

Same here. I am 95% dairy free now. Used to drink whole milk and eat a lot of cheese.
Now I am not drinking milk at all. I use oat milk in the occasional bowl of cereal.

Please do not elaborate. I am not the least bit curious as to how exactly you know this.

I hang around with the boys at Panera. They told me about this guy's sister...
