The TM-57 has a larger main charge and improved fusing compared to the earlier TM-46. It is circular with a metal case and a central fuse well. A secondary MUV or VPF fuse can be fitted on the side of the mine. The tilt rod fuse gives the mine improved resistance to blast; it is activated when it is forced to a deflection of 25 to 30 degrees.

Oh, ok, so balls of steel and a steady hand are indeed required.

I'm not at all an expert on mines, but shouldn't it be possible to just carry the mines elsewhere? I guess it would still take balls of steel...

That was my thought, as well as how close the camera person was standing.

I for one always wanted to low-key have the big Sigma 200-500/2.8 lens. I don't really have any use for it, but it would still be cool to have 🙂

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Wow. If that had happened here, a team of fifty people would have planned this for two weeks and then they'd have come up with some million dollar robot that would remove the things one by one. The removal would have cost at least a million $.

Not even bothering to have only one person do it, while everybody else keeps away, means that regardless of how dangerous it looks, it's not actually dangerous. At least, as far as those people know.

                            Education is extremely important.
