I got one from work from our company president. Apparently he's saddened by the recent events, and he believes now is not a time to act, but to listen. And to acknowledge the frustrations many are feeling right now. Also, he too is listening, and learning, and is eager to find a way to meaningfully engage with the challenges ahead.
Total fucking wanker.

Now I’m getting solidarity emails from them all.
They’re all against racism and police brutality, apparently.

Almost on the same day most CEOs of corporations, NFPs, academic etc... sent out a similar message to all their employees. It’s as if a memo went out with talking points to frantically get the note out. Timing and message is too close for this to be a coincidence. Granted it’s good optics but the Simultaneous. virtue signaling almost feels like a check the box.

My favorite so far was “[Town name] Public Library Addresses Systemic Racism”
The was literally the subject line of an email today.

Unless it’s against the Irish, right? I mean nobody likes those soulless leprechauns.

The presidents of the college I attended and the high school I attended both are unhappy with the riots.
They both sent me email today letting me know this.
Neither likes racism.
I believe this is good.

These businesses (and friends of mine on social media)...I’m glad they’re against racial injustice. Were they not before?
Lemmings seeking catharsis.
