I also recently saw these tweets by Ms. Owens:

Wtf is going on here? I was never a big fan of hers but she did say a few reasonable things in the past. But now she seems to have lost her mind completely. Is that some "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing?

She really has gone off the rails, hasn't she? You should see her "thoughts" on the pandemic and vaccinations.

There has been a weird and strong influence by the Russians in some areas of Conservative media. Nobody believes me, but a few years back it was very late at night (2:30-3:30) and I had woken up for some reason and couldn’t fall back asleep. So I went downstairs and was just flipping through the news channels when this bizarre pro-Russia PSA was on proclaiming the wonders and glories of Russia. The commercial/PSA ended and it immediately went into the news, but the anchor was the same voice that had just did the psa piece. The channel? OAN. I have tried to find that spot since then, and tried researching connections. The Mrs. was consuming a lot of conservative media back then and I told her about it and to avoid OAN, but she didn’t believe me and thinks I dreamt it.

It doesn't make any sense at all for "conservatives" to be fans of this Russian regime. It's completely at odds with what they're supposed to stand for.

Either money's involved, or they're cretins, or they're not actually conservatives. Or maybe all three.

I won’t speculate here on the first two possibilities. I am however convinced of the third. For quite some time as a matter of fact.

Indeed, the intellectual conservatives should recognize that lots of what the Putin regime does is at odds with conservatism. But the emotional self-proclaimed “conservatives” seem more easily taken in by Putin’s manufactured “strong man” propaganda, more ready to accept unilaterally taking another country by force as a sign of “genius,” well, as long as said “genius” wraps himself in some form of Christian whiteness.

So, the west by and large cares about Ukraine because Ukraine is mostly white, except for the faux conservatives who care about Russia, because Russia is mostly white. Yes, that checks out as the worldview of lefties vis a vis racism being the root cause of everything wrong.

The faux conservatives first seems to be attracted to Putin’s “strong man” persona. But Putin is not the only autocrat to project a “strong man” persona, so why the faux conservatives are not similarly attracted to other “strong man” personae? The differentiator may well be that Putin is white wraps himself in Christianity (the Russian Orthodox Church) while the other “strong man” personae (e.g., Erdogan, Duterte, Kim) is not, cannot, or do not. Call it intersectionalism, these emotional conservatives seem attracted to “white Christian strongmen.”

It doesn't make any sense at all for "conservatives" to be fans of this Russian regime. It's completely at odds with what they're supposed to stand for.

Clearly all situations are identical but for skin color. This is controlled scientific proof of racism being the fundamental factor of not only American politics but all of world politics. Yes, that checks out as the lefty worldview.

Yes, the dickhead was quoting scripture at his Nuremberg rally today in Moscow glorifying the Russian seizure and annexation of Crimea eight years ago. It was truly repulsive.
