The thing about the weightlifter was overly long too. But once you waded through the extraneous nonsense it was good speech.

I actually liked that. It helped frame his commentary in empathy and also set the tone for this not being a 30 second sound bite.

A fine speech, marred by an idiotic and insulting (to the Ukrainians) analogy between January 6 and the Russian invasion.

The Ukranians weren't the audience for this. Even when he said, "to those in power" and "to Putin," the audience was still Russian citizens. Considering how the Russians viewed January 6, I think what he said made a lot of sense in the context of what the goal is.

I also liked the way he used his dad as an example of a good person taken in by propaganda.

He died shortly after I was born. That's lucky for him - I do not tolerate Nazis. Period.

His mother's name was Cecelia, mine is Cecilia.

Cecelia must be the nazi spelling, ugly.

Oh and by the way? Do you all know where the bar is for shit like this? Read any and all freaking public remarks, speeches, or PR messages and then compare them to this.

We've a daily diet of gutter trash, but knocking a guy because his comfort food wasn't perfect.

                        Please love yourself.
