In DC tonight, they apparently shut down a lot of cell towers. Which is a little troubling.

They're also having helicopters hover right above protesters. No idea what that's about.

A lot of jackass vandals continue to break glass and tag the sides of buildings as they walk by. A lot of them are being detained by other protesters. In all the video clips I've seen, the taggers and vandals are white and with Antifa.

      Please love yourself.

Yes.. let's not talk about the house they burned down with a baby inside it, let's talk about the poor kid who had to suffer through getting shot by a fucking piece of foam rubber.

So you completely disagree with the police chief who called his nearly fatal head injury a disgrace?

          Please love yourself.

How about we talk about both? The kid needed 7 hours of surgery. People die from being shot with rubber bullets. It's not a piece of foam rubber.

              I was only joking

He probably wouldn't have been shot with a rubber bullet, if he was sitting on his couch at home or leaning back in a church pew.

I think it is horrible that he suffered injury. I think it is stupid he was there in the first place.

The Richmond mayor makes NYC mayor "Big Bird" look like a genius.

If nothing else, this is making people clearly see the type of leadership they get when they vote for democrats. The wave is building towards November.

Remember the "Silent Majority" in the 60's? The "Silent Majority" is watching right now. And it ain't a good look for democrats.

We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on.

@Improviso my dad said the same thing. There could be a massive backlash these protestors don't expect in November.

@Aqua-Letifer honestly, that's a shame, both for the guy in the blue shirt and the pregnant lady.

Overall, and I mean OVERALL, one common theme I'm seeing online is folks saying "Why did the police shoot them with rubber bullets, or use tear gas, or push down the person peacefully sitting in the middle of the street?" ...whereas I'm of the position, I don't care if they are taking a nap, if they are willfully partaking in an unlawful assembly (e.g., breaking curfew or not clearing a street when ordered) the police have every right to take whatever action is necessary to remove the protestor. Just because you are holding hands in the middle of the road doesn't mean you're not breaking the law.

"Richmond Police Chief Will Smith repeatedly stopped to compose himself as he detailed how protesters blocked the fire department from responding to a multi-family residence that was set ablaze early Sunday during George Floyd demonstrations."

                      Drive right through.

Both sides are covering themselves in glory and valor. If glory and valor comes 30 minutes after feeding a cow 13 gallons of skyline chili and cheddar cheese...

That's been true of some but certainly not all circumstances. Not even the majority. The videos of police violence that have happened in daylight, with no curfew in place, isn't justified. Organized assembly is a right, and almost everyone participating, cops and protesters alike, is trying to maintain their responsibility to do so peacefully. But unfortunately people are still getting shot in the face and buildings and cars continue to burn.

                          Please love yourself.

And it won't stop until either A) the rioters get bored, or B) the cops are augmented by the National Guard and turned loose.
