And there are plenty of confused/crying Ukranians, who are probably still going to lose this one. Western propaganda and giggling at Russia makes us feel good but it hardly paints an accurate picture.

I do not think that Jolly was giggling and nor would he.
The best outcome anyone can hope for out of all this is a return to a Cold War policy of containment and deterrence with a political and social culture that is unconditionally supportive of that policy.

Expired Russian food is against the Geneva conventions.
Fresh English food breaks even the most basic human rights, and we had the largest empire in history.

My post was referencing our social media, which is basically a propaganda outlet at this point.

Sounds accurate.

Russia will keep Crimea. They will keep some of the territory they have invaded, because of strong separatist movements in those areas.
If the Ukranians have the will to fight an insurgency, they will not lack for means to do so. I think a puppet government will be very hard for Russia to sustain. I also think that if this becomes a protracted, bloody fight, the Russian population is going to withdraw most of the support they are now giving the war effort.
Just my opinion...

I agree with you.
I’m thinking there might be a rump Ukraine emerging from this made up of Western Ukraine -areas that were part of Poland and Romania until 1939 and Hapsburg territories before WWI. It would border the Russian held Ukraine to the east and Belarus to the north thus in effect creating a cordon sanitaire separating Russia from the west.
The wild card in the scenario though is in the north along the borders of the NATO Baltic States and Finland.
