When the Man Meets the Moment

Trump's, et al, statements were as tone deaf as one could be. There's no way to defend them.
I was actually surprised by how tasteless he went. Innocent people are dying and that stupid asshole is complementing the guy who's killing them.
My apologies if anybody is offending by this virtue signaling.

@jon-nyc I saw a story that said when he took office, he discontinued the policy that staffers have a picture of the president ...
This is why I really do not want my pictures in your offices, for the President is not an icon, an idol or a portrait. Hang your kids’ photos instead, and look at them each time you are making a decision.

I knew it wasn't going to be about Biden...
Or Trump.
I'm not sure it would have happened with Trump.
Can you predict exactly what Trump would do in this situation? Nope?
Neither could Putin...

And if it did it most definitely would have been somebody else's fault.

Based on this it is clear you aren't even aware of what the moment is. Trump is not only the only president since Reagan that DID meet the moment, he did so while being bombarded by democrat lies designed to subvert the e ill of the people. And in spite of the lie your picture tries to imply, is the only president in recent history to not only NOT get us into a war, but to get us out of the ones we were already in.

You know, it doesn't matter. All the hot air, second guessing, bat-wing busting, bravado bullshit doesn't matter.
What matters is what Putin thinks.
Now, Dr. Evil, if you were intent on taking over a sovereign country, who would you rather have opposing you...Pick one: A) Biden B)Trump.

Trump. But that doesn't mean I have to, like, kiss his ass.

What do you think the chances are that at the end of all this, Velensky drops a hugely incriminating file about Hunter and Burisma on the internet then says “Thanks for all the help, Joe…”
-
@xenon yes.
This is, as I told D4 today, is what's remarkable. To have the (almost) entire international community rise up in its condemnation of Russian aggression, and, more importantly, take definitive action with a powerful weapon, money, is amazing.
At this point, there's little more that the US needs to do, or for that matter, should do. It's joining in international condemnation.

Wouldn't matter. The Slimes and the Compost would cover it up like a cat covering up shit.

Agreed. To answer @Horace 's question, I'd imagine if Trump was president, it would be a bit more chaotic/confusing with his tweets communicating each thought (for, against, for, against, etc) he had at 2am, and with each tweet we would have folks on both sides claiming he is in cahoots with Putin or not. Anyway, ultimately I think we'd end in the same spot of joining international condemnation with no real military involvement.
@Mik good point, the economic pressures are the real chess pieces now, it seems/

Not with a Republican Congress. It could turn into a BFD.

Remember when they told us future wars would be fought economically? Well, here we are.
"Prediction: China is carefully watching this and will work hard to insulate itself from similar actions in the future."
