Replacing Journalists with Artificial Intelligence

So journalism is a mono culture because mainstream media is a monoculture. That's like a guy saying "all women are gold diggers" because that describes his ex-wife.
-
It seems tautological to say mainstream media is ideological when you have an ideological litmus test for your definition of mainstream.
There's no way NewsCorp's US properties would be excluded from any non-ideological definition of mainstream.
-
How is Murdoch not mainstream media? Never mind just looking at the US - look at his organization globally.
It doesn't get more mainstream.
-
I don't quite think that's how it works. With basically anything.

Mainstream media = liberal media. Conservative media can't be considered mainstream because "mainstream" means to have power over.

Speaking as a middle aged, middle class white male, I know oppression when I see it.

One of the few definitive state we have, is percent of registered Democrats in journalism and what percentage of journalists contributed to Trump's campaign and what percentage contributed to Hillary's.
In both examples, the overwhelming majority of journalists are Democrats and their money went mostly (over 80%) to Ms. Clinton.
That in itself, does not prove bias in their reporting. But I also don't have to know a fish has been dead for awhile when I smell it...

”Members of the military giving three times as much to Clinton as to Trump”

You'd think the lefties would admit that pop culture is on their side, by and large.
All of it? Absolutely all of it. Globally, you're saying.

2016, before the election when it was quite sure that Hillary would win. Having a data point now would be quite interesting, except for the fact they are mostly enlisted folk so I don’t think they represent anything but the population at large.

"by and large" doesn't mean an absolute.
