We left the keys to airplanes for overnight renters in a lock box.

Subspace communication is the primary form of communication, used by most warp capable species across the galaxy. Subspace communications are dispatched through subspace in excess of warp factor +9.9999, and can thus, travel incredible distances. ( ST reference: The Star Trek Encyclopedia)

I often wonder if scientists, or for that matter the "if you question any of this then you are a science denier" crowd, ever take the time to actually listen to themselves....

"If you believe that some 'God' just created everything out of nothing in an instant, you're an idiot"
"The universe and everything in it was created by a big bang where nothing exploded into everything"....

"It's ok to kill a baby in the womb because it's not yet life"
"If we can find even a single solitary one celled thing on another planet it will prove life exists on other planets..."

Then there's the notion that we can find life on another planet by looking for pollution.... if the civilization is advanced enough to pollute, it's advanced enough to be looking for life on other planets... yet we've never found even a hint that that has ever happened... alien civilizations are probably advanced well beyond us, able to travel billions of light years by "bending time"..... yet these genius super beings have only ever shown themselves to drunk Bubbas living in trailer parks...... not to mention a civilization so advan ed should have long ago solved the problem of pollution....

That's only really science if you the kill the little monkey with either a large hadron collider or some form of high-powered space laser, otherwise it's medicine.

Yes, I know exactly what science is. I also know a dickwad when see one, and I pegged you years ago. You are exactly the type of idiot I was addressing.

You could make an attempt to be a little more original in your insults. Your lack of creativity in designing good insults is in fact more insulting than the actual insults.

Due to the well-documented stupidity of scientists, apparently there's a space telescope that is being developed and designed by non-scientists, since we all know how clever those guys are.

Fifteen years in and they're holding 'focus-groups' and 'creativity workshops' to decide on a colour scheme for the mirror.

Please, oh wise and sage superior being - tell me which of my examples was wrong. I do believe it was scientists who came up with the big bang theory, wasn't it? I do believe it was scientists who said that finding even a single celled organism on mars would be proof that life exists on mars wasn't it? Are you willing, oh wise one, my I intellectual superior, to admit that it was NOT science that those who support abortion on demand based their claim that it was ok to abort a baby still in the womb because it wasn't yet life?

                        Fuck you, you elitist asshole.

At least we now have the answer to my first question of "do the "if you disagree with any of this you are a science denier" crowd e er listen to themselves..,, the answer is no. Klaus has given their standard response - "you are a science denier!!"

I defy him to show a single thing I said about denying science.....

I just gored his God, and he doesn't like it. What an empty, shallow mind.....

More than 10,000 people worked on the project.

On a project like that you would want about 90% to be devout religious in order to have success. So, maybe 9,000 religious people required and then another 1,000 who could be the second string, emptying trash and mopping floors, making coffee and stuff like that.

How many religious people does it take to build a space telescope?

More than 10,000 people worked on the project.

You could make an attempt to be a little more original in your insults. Your lack of creativity in designing good insults is in fact more insulting than the actual insults.

You don't need science to say that and it's not an opinion; that statement is true by how the term "life" is defined.

Are you willing, oh wise one, my I intellectual superior, to admit that it was NOT science that those who support abortion on demand based their claim that it was ok to abort a baby still in the womb because it wasn't yet life?

I don't think anyone in his right mind would say that an unborn baby isn't life. The contested issue is more about whether that life is equivalent to that of a "born" human or not. But this has very little to do with "science". Morality is not a scientific issue. So I'm not sure what your point is.

Klaus has given their standard response - "you are a science denier!!"

Lolwut? Now you are just making things up. I didn't say you "deny science". I said you have no clue what science is because your comparisons were so over-the-top absurd. You are so quick in putting people into boxes labeled "us" and "they" that you are not able to differentiate anymore between what a person said and what other persons you put in the same box said. You have a rather low-resolution view of the world.

It's fine if you have a "people I hate" box, but at least put up a few different ones. I don't want to be in the same box as AOC 🙂
