Two 124th Fighter Wing A-10 Thunderbolt IIs linked up with two F-15E Strike Eagles from Mountain Home Air Force Base on May 15, 2020 for a fly over throughout cities of Idaho to honor essential workers and show appreciation to the sacrifice, commitment and bravery of all Idaho's essential workers and citizens keeping Idaho running during this challenging time with the COVID-19 pandemic. Gov. Brad Little, Idaho's commander-in-chief, met with pilots, learned about the 190th Fighter Squadron's mission, and helped launch the A-10 Warthogs that honored essential workers in a statewide fly over.

              I'm not picky, either one.

A good friend of mine was crew chief on an A-10. He loved them, especially since he cut his teeth on the F-5.

Yeah, the Turkish flag has only one star.

                        Interesting.

I'd love to see the history of that paint-job on the tail of the Eagle.

428th Fighter Squadron participates in Combat Hammer

An F-15SG from the Republic of Singapore Air Force takes off from Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, May 2, 2017. This marked the second time that the RSAF participated in Combat Hammer.

                          https://www.tucsonsentinel.com/local/report/070615_f-15s_dm/joint-us-singapore-f-15s-based-d-m-during-idaho-runway-work/

Joint U.S.-Singapore F-15s based at D-M during Idaho runway work
F-15 jets from the 428th Fighter Squadron will be based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base until the end of August. The unit from Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, trains pilots from Singapore's air force.

The F-15SGs from the U.S. Air Force's 366th Fighter Wing will arrive Tuesday and will "follow all D-M arrival and departure processes and adhere to noise abatement procedures" until their scheduled departure on Aug. 24, a news release from the base said.

A runway at Mountain Home AFB is closed for maintenance this summer, the release said. The Air Force said Monday that a dozen jets were expected, but indicated Wednesday that 10 of the fighters had arrived at the Tucson base.

The 428th "Buccaneers" are the U.S.-flagged squadron of the Peace Carvin V joint training program with the Southeast Asian city-state.

The squadron, which trained Singaporean personnel on the F-16 from 1998 through 2005, was reactivated in 2009 for training on the F-15 Strike Eagle. The squadron was originally activated in 1943, flying P-38 Lightning fighters in training in California, before taking to the skies over Nazi-occupied Europe just before D-Day in 1944.
