I hope Phibes gets whacked while I’m spared.
You misspelled wanked.

It looks pretty bad, but "historic" seems a bit over-done. Most years we get at least one big snowfall. A few years back we got tons of the stuff for about 4 weeks straight.
The winds I'm less keen on - the thought of losing power in this weather isn't very pleasant.

But.... CLICKS! ADS!
Yeah "historic" should be kept for events like the volcanic eruptions in 1883 (Krakatoa) or Mount Tamboro in Indonesia in 1816 which gave us Frankenstein! Or for snow, the Blizzard of '88 (1888, that is).

"Historic" means "Kinda' like 2 years ago", which is in history.
The worst part of big snowstorms is watching all the weather people thinking they're Scott of the Antarctic. The local Boston news is the worst - honestly, do we really need a bunch of knobheads stood outside in various parts of New England telling is it's snowing really hard, when all we have to do is look out the freaking window?

It's not just the websites - All the Boston 7 TV channel will talk about for days will be the snow. Do people actually watch that bollocks during a storm?

Snowpocalypse 22. Again.
It's coming down pretty good here, but we'll only get about an inch.
My wife says the snowstorms always remind her of our honeymoon. They always promise us at least 12 inches and then we only get 3.
I don't know what the hell she's talking about, it didn't even snow at our wedding.

Snow is very rare here.
The snow last week closed the golf course for 5 days.
I played yesterday and today, but the snow will close the course again tomorrow.
Historic!

I'm guessing the golf courses will be pretty quiet here, too, at least on Sunday.

It wasn't supposed to snow here until afternoon, but it started in the wee hours and hasn't stopped. We have 3-4" now and no sign of stopping.

Your snow is a completely different system than what’s coming for the North East, though it will influence it a bit. Phibes and Jon and to a lesser extent Rich, Improv, Copper, and the Lu of the LuFin are getting hit by what is essentially a snow hurricane coming in off the Atlantic. The low pressure is supposed to be intense.

Looks like my system might be pushing that one out to sea. If that happens you guys owe me.

Buffalo isn’t seeing jack from this. They caught a little today that I think was from Mik’s snowfall. This is a coastal storm.

I think that says we will get 9 inches
That would close this town for a month
I expect 3 inches, based on weather.gov
