He was a comedian actor who starred in "Full House," and hosted "America's Funniest Home Videos" for a while. He also did stand-up.

His personna on TV was that of a wholesome, family type of guy. However, his standup was supposedly really raunchy.

And by raunchy, here's a clip of him in the movie "The Aristocrats." "The Aristocrats" is the dirtiest movie ever made that has no nudity in it. Seek it out, it's hysterical.

Warning - VERY NSFW for language.

That's really interesting. Between being a prime time TV show host and main character in one of the big 90's sitcoms - he must have been on TV ads all the time.

Maybe you didn't watch a lot of TV in the 90s (I was a kid - that's all I did... I guess I don't really know any of the big network TV stars of today).

kinda my first thought, but the press release was "no foul play, and no evidence of drugs".

Yeah, I suspect not. More likely just stress and genetics.

I never found Saget to be funny. Not even a little. I'm sorry to hear that he died, but why is he getting so much mention when so many celebrities died in 2021.

Because he was the "Dad" on Full House.

However, the reporting of the deaths of others has not been minimal, look at Charlie Watts, Rumsfeld, Leachman. There was a lot of it.

@larry He was big with millennials. He was the archetypical 90's dad. Full house is a pretty bad show - but almost everyone my age watched it growing up.

I don't think I've ever seen his stand-up. He wasn't even funny on Full House.

With no kids in the room, to be sure.

I never found Saget to be funny. Not even a little. I'm sorry to hear that he died, but why is he getting so much mention when so many celebrities died in 2021.

@larry He was big with millennials. He was the archetypical 90's dad. Full house is a pretty bad show - but almost everyone my age watched it growing up.

I don't think I've ever seen his stand-up. He wasn't even funny on Full House.

I think his character on Full House was supposed to be un-funny, or at least that's how I remember it. Maybe now, as a dad, if I watched again I would appreciate some dad jokes? Who knows. His stand up is pretty funny... but nothing special
