Nobody seems to like Amazon. Trumps freaking hates them, and now Biden's making stuff up.
I thought you chaps liked to celebrate success? I hate to say it, but this all a little British of you, and look where we ended up!

He's joining AOC, Harry Reid, Bernie Sanders, and many others in making this shit up.
What's unusual is to see Amazon push back.
Steve Jobs, iirc, made the same point years ago (paraphrasing): "You think it's unfair? You guys made the laws. If you say it's unfair, change the law."

Democrats aren't able to connect the dots, and really don't care to learn. They come up with ideas meant to pander for votes, then crow about it, then when the consequences of their foolishness hit, they blame it on the right.
For example: they pass a law requiring banks to make home loans to people who don't qualify for home loans, and then constantly remind everyone how they made homeowners of the "little guy". It takes a few years for the effect of this to hit, by then there's a Republican in the White House. The mortgage industry collapses when all these people who didn't qualify for a mortgage but got one thanks to the democrats have to be foreclosed on, the economy tanks because of it, the democrat solution - raise taxes and blame the republicans. The worst part of it is their inability to u derstand that raising taxes does not mean more money gets collected.
Another example is medical insurance and the health industry. Things were fine until democrats passed laws limiting competition between insurers, drowned the I dusty in silly regulations, took over thi us by creating the HMO crap... then when they had damn near ruined things and driven the cost of health care sky high, here come the democrats pandering for votes by coming up with Obama care and pushing "single payer" bull shit.
Democrats are morons. I'm talking about the politicians they pick, and the ideology they've bought into. I'm sorry, but you have to be a stone cold idiot to think the Democrat ideology works.

While Mr. Bidens thought may be okay and it gets good coverage, Amazon is completely correct.
It is the same with regular taxpayers - it would be foolish not to take advantage of all legal ways to save taxes.
Amazon is correct - the problem is not with them. It is with the Congress and President.

I should like to see all the loopholes Biden personally takes advantage of. But amazon is absolutely correct...do not blame me for following the laws you enacted.

Exactly, does Biden voluntarily pay more in taxes than he owes?
Somewhat reminds me of the border wall debate, I often think, does this rich politician not have a fence around their house? Do they not lock their doors? Do they not have the right to enforce their property border?

A company that doesn't try to minimize their taxes isn't "fair". Such a company is just stupid and is likely to disappear from the market.
Every tax policy that's legal is fair game.

I made that same point when TDS folk were aghast at Trump saying his low tax bill was because he was smart.

Don't forget how they scam the Post Office and by extension the American taxpayer.
