How's the thumb?

I can't move that joint, might be permanent. Last PT appt they tried electric stimulation of the muscle and couldn't get any part of the thumb to move, including the parts that work. A test on the other hand, just for proof of concept, worked as expected. My wrist hurts and is clearly screwed up, but the MRI showed nothing other than a strangely shaped nerve cluster, which couldn't have any effect on function of this joint. I will see the doctor again for a followup but she is currently still in the wait and see mode, which is mostly just blind hope.

Time for a visit to Mayo. Write it off as a work trip. Get your hand seen.

Don't know about Mayo, but you need a better hand man...

Indeed. I've always been uncomfortable with your results.
In the Bay area, I'm sure there are excellent hand surgeons.
Find one.

Ugh. Can you play the piano?
Any practical limitations?

Piano is my most important practical limitation. No way right now. Maybe I could learn to work around eventually, after it heals.
