      @jolly that's a lot of work.

      Two hours in the fridge? I was impatient with a 15 minute soak!

        Perfection takes time.😀

        I haven't tried his recipe, but I suspect they're good fries.

            My favourite fries in this country are from 5-Guys. They're similar to the chips you get back home.

            I'm just thankful they're so low in calories.

            I was only joking

              I found 5 Guys fries to be some of the worst fries I've ever eaten.

                My friend Phyllis Stein would agree with you.

                  Every time I've gotten fries at 5 Guys they were soggy, dark like they'd been cooked in old, dirty grease, greasy, etc.

                    Five Guys fries are hit or miss. Sometimes perfect, sometimes soggy. They give 4x more than you ask for, too. Shake Shack has pretty good fries that do a good job at staying warm/crisp even if you wait until home to eat them.

                    As with all things, there is a good podcast about McD fries out there from the unlikely "Revisionist History with Malcolm Gladwell" that you may want to listen to. https://www.pushkin.fm/episode/mcdonalds-broke-my-heart/

                      If they have Krystal Burgers near you try their new fries. I was shocked at how good they are.
