Alex Berenson is an a-hole

@jolly said in Alex Barenson is an a-hole:
What's interesting is that some of the misinformation has turned out to be true.
Some not, but but some true.If you just make tons of shit up, then some of it will inevitably turn out to be true.
It's the making shit up that's the problem.
What qualifications does this guy have to make all these suppositions?
Clearly, he's got an agenda. And exposing the truth isn't it.

How much stuff have we been told from the beginning that was either A) blatantly known to be untrue, B) not known, but presented as known, and B)presented as fact, but later turned out to be false.
Do you own homework and due diligence. Then, chart the best course you can, given the information you have.

What I do know is that right from the beginning, there has been a group of people downplaying the seriousness of this disease, and they have been wrong time and time again, and the body count has continued to rise. Fuck them.

Very good advice, in theory. Remember the average IQ is 100.
Then, chart the best course you can, given the information you have.
And when the information you have, like Berenson's, is ridiculous, and you don't know any better (as we do, supposedly), then what?

BERENSON: “Right. They wouldn’t drop water on me if I were on fire. I am telling the truth. Long Covid, long Covid is a joke unfortunately medically. We have to be aware these people are suffering. It’s like chronic fatigue syndrome that have taken over parts of medicine in the last 30 years. Middle aged women, a certain person fits this profile. Suffering from fatigue and pain and depression and they work pretty hard to medicalize their condition. Men have their own ways of dealing with it.”

So, you've got one guy giving his opinion and it's gospel?
In light of COVID, I don't think anybody does that.

I didn't say it's gospel. I said
- People are stupid
- TuCa nodded, accepting this a-hole's word as gospel, with ZERO pushback
- He's wrong.
- People will accept what he says because of #2.
In light of COVID, I don't think anybody does that.

I like Tucker.
Most of the time, so do I. He's provocative, to say the least. I don't think he's descended into Beck territory, yet.
I don't accept everything he says as gospel. Or everything his guests say as gospel.
Yes, and that's one of my points. What his guests was clearly wrong, and, if he considers a journalist, he should have pushed back. And he didn't. He smiled and nodded, accepting Berenson's comments without question or criticism.
That should be his job.
But, it's not.
His job is to make money for Fox (which he's doing very well, I might add), so, there's that.
