It's been 53 years.
I can still remember like it was yesterday when they got the go-ahead for the burn to take them out of earth orbit and send them to the moon.
“Apollo 8, you are Go for TLI.”
I can still hear it. That was so important at the time. Few would remember it now.

At 2:20. Very cool, never thought about or saw the TLI clip before. Really incredible to think about it now... what bravery it took to light those fires (and maybe kick the tires).

Honestly, I'm really looking forward to the images this telescope will provide in the years to come. My prediction, @mark ? The horsehead nebula turns out to not really be a horse, but instead a bunch of stars.
