You do what you gotta do. If you get it, I don't have a clue how bad or how light your symptoms may be...It's a goofy disease. I had it, unvaxxed, and besides some wonky taste stuff that hung in there awhile, I've had much worse colds. Afebrile and two days or so of a stuffy nose.

But you're young, in shape and nutritionally sound. I think you'll throw it off in no time. Providing you even get it...You may not.

Tell her we said hi from a socially safe distance of a time zone or two!

You know what's a real pisser?

Memory foam mattress, bed frame, living room chairs, couch, and, I shit you not, a damn fridge were all delivered today.

      Guess who got 'em inside?

The cats are sneezing uncontrollably, so I can't rule out the possibility that they have this shit, too. The only folks in the house who are guaranteed negative are me and the damn rabbit. But pretty likely he's gonna be on his own, starting tomorrow.

Oh, and our washer and dryer come Friday. I already told Puck-Puck he'd have to sign for the UPS guy. He just kept chewing on some hay so, you know what, I have no idea if he was even fucking listening.

      @aqua-letifer

I have heard that cats are susceptible to C19. Haven’t heard similar about rabbits or rodents in general.

      Elbows up!

Thanks, Jolly. My thing is, what could I have honestly done differently? Our strategy changed after we got vaccinated; before that it was "don't get this shit." After the vaccinations, what was the next step? Hold up for something like years? Because of my asthma, I took a lot of daily steps to try to prepare for the eventuality of getting infected. So, screw it, can only see what happens now.

        Please love yourself.

Unless you (generic you) hermetically sealed yourself in a mayonnaise jar on Funk & Wagnall's porch for the duration, chances are you're getting exposed, sooner or later. It's not your "fault" or anybody else's. The damn virus is endemic.

Kiddo's still at 102.5 fever, 90-93 O2. That's really low to me, but doc said they won't even admit her if it doesn't fall below 90. So, great.

90 is pretty much the bright line, especially if beds are at a premium. My 8 month old granddaughter wound up in PICU a few weeks back and they didn't admit her until her sat hit about that point.

90 is pretty much the bright line, especially if beds are at a premium. My 8 month old granddaughter wound up in PICU a few weeks back and they didn't admit her until her sat hit about that point.

It's very, very, extremely, frustrating when children are sick.

Just to clarify...She didn't have COVID. Her rapid RSV was negative, but if that child didn't have RSV, I'll kiss your ass on Main Street.

Gosh - hoping for the best Aqua for you and your family. Really hope the kiddo stays relatively comfortable.

Yeah - speaks for all of us. Hope it is all a short encounter with no lasting effects.

                                  Thanks, everybody. Here's hopin'.

Kiddo's still at 102.5 fever, 90-93 O2. That's really low to me, but doc said they won't even admit her if it doesn't fall below 90. So, great.

That's what we thought she had. 😔

My daughter had RSV when she was about a month old. Back then, of course, nobody owned an oxygen meter. We noticed because her lips went blue, and she stopped breathing for about 20 seconds after feeding. She spent a week under observation in Boston Children's hospital, and it went away of its own accord.

                                      I was only joking

Just fine. Steroids, Albuterol, O2 and time work wonders. The initial visit to the pediatrician is where the ball got dropped...My son and his wife have now changed providers.
