Getting COVID 3 times.

You do what you gotta do. If you get it, I don't have a clue how bad or how light your symptoms may be...It's a goofy disease. I had it, unvaxxed, and besides some wonky taste stuff that hung in there awhile, I've had much worse colds. Afebrile and two days or so of a stuffy nose.
But you're young, in shape and nutritionally sound. I think you'll throw it off in no time. Providing you even get it...You may not.
Thanks, Jolly. My thing is, what could I have honestly done differently? Our strategy changed after we got vaccinated; before that it was "don't get this shit." After the vaccinations, what was the next step? Hold up for something like years? Because of my asthma, I took a lot of daily steps to try to prepare for the eventuality of getting infected. So, screw it, can only see what happens now.

Unless you (generic you) hermetically sealed yourself in a mayonnaise jar on Funk & Wagnall's porch for the duration, chances are you're getting exposed, sooner or later. It's not your "fault" or anybody else's. The damn virus is endemic.

On to the next question… The fridge… Think you could have ridden a bike with it?

With a half-decent cargo trailer, no problemo.

Gosh - hoping for the best Aqua for you and your family. Really hope the kiddo stays relatively comfortable.
Yeah - speaks for all of us. Hope it is all a short encounter with no lasting effects.
Thanks, everybody. Here's hopin'.
EDIT
Kiddo's still at 102.5 fever, 90-93 O2. That's really low to me, but doc said they won't even admit her if it doesn't fall below 90. So, great. -

Ugh, indeed.
How does she feel, other than coughing?

So, great.90 is pretty much the bright line, especially if beds are at a premium. My 8 month old granddaughter wound up in PICU a few weeks back and they didn't admit her until her sat hit about that point.
It's very, very, extremely, frustrating when children are sick.

Do the standard pulse ox’s get a good reading on fingers that tiny?

Just to clarify...She didn't have COVID. Her rapid RSV was negative, but if that child didn't have RSV, I'll kiss your ass on Main Street.

That's what we thought she had.
Frustrating is definitely a word for it.

@Jolly how is your Granddaughter?
-
My daughter had RSV when she was about a month old. Back then, of course, nobody owned an oxygen meter. We noticed because her lips went blue, and she stopped breathing for about 20 seconds after feeding. She spent a week under observation in Boston Children's hospital, and it went away of its own accord.

Just fine. Steroids, Albuterol, O2 and time work wonders. The initial visit to the pediatrician is where the ball got dropped...My son and his wife have now changed providers.

Oh yeah, at the time it was very worrying. I'd never even heard of RSV back then.

The worst part about this shit are the ups and downs. Last night was scary. Bad O2 numbers, bad fever. As of this second, though, our daughter is 98% O2, 99 fever.
But what will tonight be like? This illness just never fucking ends. And who knows, maybe my wife will take a turn for the worse, too. Here's hoping not, but it seems to be an incredibly long haul with many ups and downs.
