I have enough money in "the bank" at the Chicago Symphony to renew a season's subscription.

Because of the uncertainty about the efficacy of vaccinations, even with boosters, and new variants, I'm hesitant to "cash in" that subscription just yet.

I haven't been to a concert since John Elliot Gardiner's performances of the Beethoven symphonies.

I booked two for this year at Carnegie, one in January and one in the spring.

Obviously I could skip one or both if the situation warrants, but for now I’m in.

It helps that I’m in one of those balcony boxes with a smaller number of people in it.

      You were warned.

For me, it's movies. Haven't been in nearly 2 years, which is really weird for me. For a concert, maybe next Spring when hopefully numbers are way down. Jon's approach of seating I think helps a lot, too.

I saw the bond movie when it came out last month. It debuted on a Friday, we waited until Wednesday and saw a matinee, right after school let out. There was one other party there besides us.

          You were warned.

The Smithfield Little Theatre is back up and running. We have the season subscription.

Last month was Virginia Wolf. We went opening night. There were maybe 30 people in 175 seats. That was Thursday night, I assume attendance improved over the weekend.

Next up is Clue in February.
