Don't worry about the expenses. I can take care of 70 cents a month myself

When I have time in the next days, I'll buy the new vserver and start installing stuff. For a while, both servers will run concurrently, so there needs to be a time when an official "switch" happens. I'm not a professional administrator and am not doing this with any regularity, hence I can't predict how much work this will be, but the server management tools we use seem to make this job relatively easy (shoutout to Cloudron!).

I'll update to NodeBB 17.0 soon. I don't expect any major problems or longer outages.
If anyone is interested in new features and fixed bugs:

That's strange. I can't reproduce the problem here.
I believe sometimes there is a timeout issue - when the Twitter embed script doesn't load quickly enough, the page is rendered without the embedding.
Do others have the same problem? Does the problem still occur when you use a mobile network?
(by the way, I haven't upgraded NodeBB yet - so nothing should have changed)

If you open this link, does a bunch of JavaScript code appear?

Not reproducible here either.
@George-K try the usual cleanse like clear all cache and restart your browser application and see if that helps..@axtremus said in Forum Issues:

Did that. No joy.
The interesting thing is that it's occurring on 4 different browsers, including Brave, which I've never used.

Well, this is interesting. I was connected via a VPN, and when I disabled it, the Twitter embed worked.
How's that?

OK, we are now on the latest version of NodeBB.
I'm not sure whether anything directly visible to users has changed.
Let me know if something doesn't work anymore.
