I cooked up some garlic confit for dinner, then put it in a Rubbermaid container to cool. Apparently there was a crack in the container as all the very garlicky olive oil ran over the counter and onto the hardwood floor.

        Well just double-fuck.

Good thing we have lots of cat litter.

          Bite me.

I lost my taste for olive oil while washing it off my foot and elsewhere. We went with a chicken pot pie. Delicious.

Aqua’s had a flood AND he has a toddler. He comes in 2nd.

89th has an infant and a toddler. He comes in third.

M&M’s has to clean up after a 2-year-old toddler and me. She wins.

Our toddler is oddly responsible. She is 3 but I can leave her playing with the bathroom sink for hours as she likes to fill up cups, transfer the water, etc. One day my trust will be violated as water rains down on me, but until then.

Our infant (he just turned 1!) is the opposite. He's a freaking wrecking ball and an absolute disaster when he eats (let's put our hands full of spaghetti sauce or cream cheese into our hair and eyes?) and when he has a big diaper to change, he decides only then to do the alligator death roll as I try to keep "it" from spreading.

                      Fun times.

Oh, not a spill but the other day I turned off the water to our outdoor spigots (hose bibs). One has a frost free bib so the water doesn't have to be turned off to it, but when I adjusted the bleeder valve it sprayed water for about 2 seconds. That was also fun.

Decades ago, Mrs. George and I were watching TV in the family room, when we heard the dreaded "drip drip" of water coming through the ceiling. There was a bathroom above the family room.

I went upstairs to find D3 taking water from the sink, pouring onto the floor so she could float her toy boats on the floor.

                        Sigh...

Speaking of that Pesci-Liotta scene, Pesci is a scarily good actor, but IMO Liotta had the tougher job. He was masterful in portraying confusion and growing dread that he reeeally screwed up -- especially at the end, with that terrified blank expression. He had to do a lot with not very many words.

I have a few water alarms throughout the house (water heater, sump pump, washer) maybe I should add one to the kids bathroom...

Those didn't exist in 1992. At least not affordable ones, LOL.

Well, I finally made the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio tonight. Delicious. Recipe is in the cookbook. The garlic confit was delicious, as was the bottagara (dried pressed fish roe).
