I believe that I had mentioned Natalie Allen, the new “Communications Officer” hired by LCPS to bring a new level of transparency and community conversation to Loudoun County. The school board is paying Natalie over $250K per year. By comparison, the Secretary of State earns $221K per year. So yeah…

At any rate, in order to increase transparency and community conversation since her arrival, these are the steps she’s taken…

Run a troll X account attacking critics of LCPS School Board -

Now, for those of you that don’t know, Nick Minock has been the local news reporter on ABC that has won multiple Emmy’s for his coverage and reporting on Loudoun County Government and LCPS School Board.

In deleted posts, she has said

conservative parents are lying sacks of s — '

    and concerned moms

'little sewing group' of 'middle-aged soccer mom[s]' who were angry because their pool boys would not have sex with them.

    And notably -

'We're trying to get those white people to stop being a — holess

She has also shut down the cameras for the public comment section of the board meetings, meaning they aren’t broadcast and aren’t even saved for the record. Yay, Transparency and Community Conversations!

She also introduced a policy stating that all School Board Member written communications with the press and constituents come through her office.

She is also responsible for the multiple blocks to the FOIA requests that @George-K posted about.

Weird.. I deleted the above post while trying to edit it, then restored it, and it didn’t pop up as a recent update in the page.

Crazy. Here if a school budget (the largest chunk of overall property taxes) rises more than, I think, 2%, there's a higher vote threshold it needs to pass.

Cuomo (fils) actually put that in place. I remember thinking that he should have anchored it to an inflation index rather than a hard number, but here we are.

So a few months back, a girl that pretends to be a boy went into a boys locker room. Three boys asked her to leave. So Loudoun County is of course investigating the three young men for Title IX sexual harassment charges.

Tonight is the school board meeting. The head of the board is shutting down commentators supporting the boys, preventing parents from coming in by claiming personal bags are too large (they’ve been measured and are within the rules), and not allowing parents into the building claiming it’s at capacity (there are three dozen empty chairs).

It is possible they were at capacity even if there are empty chairs. Depends on the rules for the room/building.

Sure. And the refusal to allow entry to people because their handbags were too large? When they were perfectly legitimately in the sizes allowed?

No idea, it's probably why the county is abbreviated LOCO!
