This week I learned....

...anything other than "absolutely not, under any circumstances", essentially means "yes". We are now a 2-dog family.

Sweet! The one on the right I assume? Looks like a youngster?
Yes, she's a puppy. She's a little larger than we'd anticipated. She's Jack Russell cross, but we're beginning to wonder what she was crossed with - her paws are worryingly large.

LOL! Sometimes even "Absolutely not! Not under any circumstances!" essentially means "yes", too.

I've been saying 'absolutely not' for 2 years or so. Then I was shown a picture from a rescue place, and I wobbled very slightly. It was all over before I knew anything about it.

Just to make u feel better, my dept head has 7.
But then again his wife works as a therapist using animals for disabled children.
He basically lives in an animal shelter.

Are they about to get dinner? They look pretty attentive. The only time my dogs are that well behaved is at feeding time.

I think that was me about to get dinner. I suspect they were hoping to join in.

4 rather stressful days later....

@Doctor-Phibes congratulations!!

Nearly a year later....one of them got bigger. The older one has almost come to terms with the situation (by 'older one' I mean the dog, not me).

Old joke, maybe you heard it already:
My wife wanted a cat and I didn't. So we compromised and got a cat.
