I'd disagree with that, Aqua. I think you treat others very well until they show you that courtesy and compassion is misplaced.
Well maybe, but when I was the age Gracie was? Pffft. Not naturally endowed with social graces am I. Gotta work at it.

19? Bloody hell, I didn't know my arse from my elbow back then. I wasn't thinking long-term, that's for sure, and my social skills probably rivalled Aqua's.

So what's changed?

My social skills have always been elegant and smooth. When I turn on the charm - people are putty.
It's probably a good job that you do it so infrequently.

She's not perfect. She still has the shyness and lack of confidence that a girl has. But if you look at what she is, and what she will be, you can see the woman. And the woman is going to make some lucky man a helluva partner in life.
I suspect when you were that age, much of what you are, was already there. You can't improve what you have none of.

You really do live in your own little time capsule, don't you?

I'm damned good at sizing people up.
Yeah, based on your career history, I would guess this as well.
I'm also pretty good at understanding what actually makes people happy.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and further guess you didn't have to contend with a mid-life crisis.
