Plaid vs McLaren

Now, drive the Plaid from Jacksonville to Denver.
Exactly.
We drive about 9K miles per year. NEVER more than 100 miles per trip. But in our condo, getting a charging situation is prohibitively expensive, and that cost is probably greater than any savings I'd gain by ditching dead dinosaurs.

It's coming, like it or not.
I know. The tech isn't there yet to do "gas station" fill-ups, yet.
I would go nuts spending half an hour charging my car.
The time factor has to do with the amount of time it takes to charge.
Yes, but it's still part of the trip. Who wants to hang around a
gas stationcharging station for 30 minutes? -
12 hours playing computer games in service stations while your car charges up? Living the dream!

That's totally different.

Who’s paying for all of this electricity? I’ve got no problem with electric car charging stations being installed as part of the infrastructure bill, but who is actually paying for the juice?

OK, sitting there playing games in your car and telling passers-by 'This thing is faster than a Mclaren, you know!'
Why not just paint a bit 'L' on your forehead and be done with it?
