Plan your trip.
Okay...
25 hours, 1750 miles.
37 hours, 1967 miles.
Gas savings, $267. Add a motel for the extra 12 hours, plus meals, etc.

Nonetheless, if you want to you can do it. And the charging stations are still in their infancy. The time factor has to do with the amount of time it takes to charge.
It's coming, like it or not.

I know. The tech isn't there yet to do "gas station" fill-ups, yet.
I would go nuts spending half an hour charging my car.

Yes, but it's still part of the trip. Who wants to hang around a
gas stationcharging station for 30 minutes? -

Tesla gives you games to play and stuff while you wait. You can do a race car course using the car's steering wheel.

Who’s paying for all of this electricity? I’ve got no problem with electric car charging stations being installed as part of the infrastructure bill, but who is actually paying for the juice?

OK, sitting there playing games in your car and telling passers-by 'This thing is faster than a Mclaren, you know!'
Why not just paint a bit 'L' on your forehead and be done with it?
