There are signs that say this is a no smoking airport.

There are announcements not to accept items from unknown persons to bring on board.

Do we still need these reminders?

    Third-pound burgers.

      Literally everyone else: GMAFB.
Lawyers and regulation/compliance officers: GMAFB. Of course we do.

      Please love yourself.

In my work, over the last 30 years there has been a big increase in the mindset among many people who develop standards and legislation that putting warnings on things prevents pointless accidents. The products are much the same as they were 30 years ago, but nowadays they're covered in freaking labels. You stick something up in an oil rig or chemical plant, and it's covered in shit within a few weeks so you can't see the tiny little writing on the label anyway, but hardly anybody writing the rules has left their nice comfy office in 25 years, so they have no freaking idea what it's like.

What we really need is for people to stop being morons.

Adding warning labels is a lot easier. Obviously, nobody reads them.

        I was only joking
