pulling down the Robert E Lee statue in Richmond
There are a lot of other well-known Virginians whose statues will disappear.
Slave-owning George Washington is one who comes to mind.
Yes, I know he freed his slaves upon his death, too late.
I really don't like this.

Well... while they're at it, they might as well rename Richmond too. It was, after-all, the capital of the Confederacy.
Richmond was named after a small town in northern England. No need to rename it again, unless you're going to do away with New York, too.

When we make the switch to Pashto would be a good time to rename everything.
Or maybe Mandarin.

Given the diminutive user base of Gab I'd say that's unlikely.

“…If only we had Robert E. Lee to command our troops in Afghanistan, that disaster would have ended in a complete and total victory many years ago.”
Hahaha I love it. I do miss this guy. And overall I agree with his gab or tweet or whatever it’s called.
As a Virginian I have a special respect for Lee. It’s really a shame what is being done.

See? Classic.
What's especially sad is that I only made up about half of it.

What's sad is you just lied. Trump is not on Twitter and hasn't been for some time.

Yes of all the ways to characterize that, "lying" is by far the most accurate.

Can I buy some pot from you?

@jolly said in In Virginia Today:
Of course it is.
As some scholar sifts through our writings in the dim future, he'll take that as gospel.
As is now the case for Shakespeare's writing about Richard III. Whilst Aqua isn't quite up there yet, he is the board's Boswell, or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof.
Another strange coincidence is that Richard III is a term in cockney rhyming slang, as is 'taking a Donald Trump'.
