Kind of a stupid question, but how do you answer it?
Sure it is. But what he asks about "If you lie about the dog, why should we trust you on important stuff?"
Most transparent, etc.

@george-k No, I mean the stakes and the consequences of lying about a dog bites man story and the Afghan story are too disparate to make any sort of connection. I might lie about a small thing, because no big whoop, but have too much respect for what could happen if I lied about a big thing. So my lying about the small thing doesn't tell you anything about my truthfulness on the big thing.
But that might be too fine a point. Maybe it's not a stupid question. It feels stupid, though.
