The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Kind of a stupid question, but how do you answer it?

A dog that bites like that is in bad need of serious training.

Sure it is. But what he asks about "If you lie about the dog, why should we trust you on important stuff?"

            Most transparent, etc.

@george-k No, I mean the stakes and the consequences of lying about a dog bites man story and the Afghan story are too disparate to make any sort of connection. I might lie about a small thing, because no big whoop, but have too much respect for what could happen if I lied about a big thing. So my lying about the small thing doesn't tell you anything about my truthfulness on the big thing.

But that might be too fine a point. Maybe it's not a stupid question. It feels stupid, though.

Uncle Henry always told me a man that lies about small things, has no trouble at all lying about big things.

Been my experience in life that's true.

@jolly Yeah, okay. A person would require a well-developed ethic to lie about small things and still worry about the consequences of lying about a big thing. I guess most people who lie about little things would not be overburdened with ethics.
