What’s weird to me is that I saw on the news here, hours before, that there was hard intel about an imminent threat near Kabul airport, which means they knew something was cooking but still were not able to prevent a catastrophe.

Here's the thing, it very well could have been the Taliban, it could have been the New Al Qaeda. Could have been ISIS. Could have been one of our own Afghan interpreters and loyalists that feels betrayed. Hell, it could have been the French or any other member of NATO...

he said it was a sad day, 12 killed, then went on to tout the number of people evacuated and the heroism of the troops. Honestly I'm not sure what they expected him to say, but he should have stuck to the facts of the incident, of which there are few right now. Apparently we are relying on the Taliban to screen people getting to the gates of the airport.
So the Taliban is the group preventing suicide bombers from getting to our troops. Let that sink in.

If you think about it it means we knew damn good and well they were going to overrun the country. Otherwise we would never have had time to make such arrangements with them.

The whole point of the attack was to get America to talk about it, while there are more important concerns - such as racism - that we should be focused on instead.

You should hear the way it's talked about on mainstream left-leaning podcasts. The left could not possibly be more elated that it happened. The catharsis they feel over the vindication of their good vs evil view of American politics is palpable, and they are spreading the word. The marginalization of the right was made a lot easier. It's going to be taught about in grade schools.

Funny you should say that. I had the very same thought this morning, reading the Fox coverage. The jowl-quivering outrage barely camouflaged their glee. I mean, what's a bunch of dead Marines if it means we get to stick it to Biden!!!
