When the republicans are following MTG types, then that’s what happens.
I don’t understand why when Trump brought operation warp speed, vaccines were great. Now that the administration has changed, vaccines imperil personal freedom.
Imperative to keep vaccines a non partisan issue but it seems nothing can be non partisan.
The problem is the wrong vaccines won. It’s stupid, but it really is a marketing problem. mRNA sounds scary, and we’ve been inundated with Hollywood movies about the dangers of genetic research…
Wait till the monkeys they tested with AZ start talking…

I have to admit that most folks I see that refuse the vaccine are Trump-siders, and I just cannot understand it. He moved heaven and earth to get this done.
Most of the traditional Republicans, myself included, could not get it fast enough.
Here's what I don't understand...Trump has said repeatedly, "Get vaccinated". Before and after leaving office.

I know that and you know that, but a lot seem to have forgotten.
Or they aren’t monolithic? Just a thought…

Are there people who loved vaccines under Trump and now hate them? Or is that a caricature of "what Republicans think"?

Because Trump don’t say it often enough or clear enough. Go ahead, count them, how many times Trump publicly says to get the vaccines? If Trump publicly says to get the vaccine even only a tenth as frequently as Trump publicly talks about voting fraud, you think any would forget? Even the likes of Rep. Greene and Rep. Gosar won’t be so evasive about their vaccination status if Trump were vocal enough with embracing vaccination. As it is, it is pretty clear that Trump failed to persuade his own supporters to get vaccinated.

I think I've been pretty clear on my opinions of Trump's fuckfacery, but I gotta give it to him for Warp Speed. Not his messaging—was wrong for how people saw him, and, clearly it didn't work with his base—but yeah, Warp Speed put a dent in the pandemic.

MTG, some caricature of what Republicans think. Yeah she is not good for the brand.

Say what you want about the righteousness of the vaccinated because at the end of the day all our masking, and the incredible work of the hospital employees is in service of keeping the unvaccinated alive.
Still losing, though, because there aren't enough converts.

It would be strange to consider vaccinated people to be self righteous in general.

Rock Hudson was macho.
Look how that turned out.

Like hell we are. It may change, because of the actual swarm of positive COVID results and the endless admits, but we are better than we were when this thing started. There are people leaving the hospital today, that wouldn't have several months ago.

My understanding is that we don’t discuss that disease anymore.

I think the better statement is that they are working at cross purposes.

Idiot.
