How many 89ths does it take to change a light bulb?

Here are a couple of videos on unsticking overhead glass light covers. I leave it to you to view them, cuz I am once again over my data usage limit and can't be making it worse for your stupid fixture.

You could ask your lovely wife to break the glass and clean up the pieces. And then let her pick out a new fixture that she likes more.
Sorry, I know that's not helpful. But it's what my husband would do.

Worse case is you hire an electrician to replace the entire fixture.
Before that, you can try breaking the glass and replacing just the glass.
Before that, you can also try inviting your neighbor @brenda to come over to give it a good ole college try. She might even go over with a basket of baked goods so there is only upside for you.

It's just a single fixture. Probably can buy something similar looking at the Borg for $40. Cut the power off at the breaker, take a snap with your phone on how it's wired, and replace.
