It's funny - the Argentines accuse the British of colonialism when it comes to the Falklands, and yet the Spanish essentially marched into the country now known as Argentina, massacred the native population, and created a country inhabited by the Spanish. The Falklands had no indigenous population.

Go back far enough in history and you can find almost any country that oppressed another country.
Your politics define how far back in history you want to go.
