"MAN OF THE PEOPLE is about the person who stands behind the disgraced politician, the religious leader that’s been caught in a sex scandal. The wife, the girlfriend, the husband, the partner, whoever is the family, the children—the people that stand behind these figures that are disgraceful. The collateral damage. I pity these people sometimes." - SW
Lyrics:
Trust, you know how to take it
Love, you know how to fake itAnd I will be there beside you
The camera eye, the drug is just to be near youHey, well I can take rejection
Hey, what does it take to get your attention?
Cos you’re a man of the people
A man of the people
And I’m just part of the planI lie here like a dog
And think of all I would undo
Anyone would go
But I got nowhere to go toAnd what is left of us?
Now there’s only the cinders
Ambition froze me out
Like a demonic winterHey, well I can take rejection
Hey, what does it take to get your attention?
Cos you’re a man of the people
A man of the people
And I’m just part of the planHush now, the winter gets you
Hush now, the winter gets you down -

If you enjoy swing check out the band Asleep at the Wheel. They put out a lot great albums over the years. I really like their live albums - catches the spirit of swing as it should be.

Funny that you should mention that. They were the musicians and accompanying singers on the album I showed above.

I "found" this album that they did with Willie Nelson. Very fun album.

I think it's sadly telling that YouTube put this at the top of my recommended feed.

Fun Video (at least for me). LOL Video of Bruce Springsteen getting a request for a song that they have never done before (You Never Can Tell - Chuck Berry). Fun to see how they put it together.
I have zero improvisation skills with music, so would never ever ever be able to do something like this.

Not a Springsteen fan. Never have been.
(just kid you. You still have (mainly) good taste in music!)
Edit: you may like his album when he was at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Here is one song.
