Out of Time — Denzel Washington (hey 89th!)

The movie's almost 20 years old and just now do I get the point of it.
He's out of time! Not the silly case the movie follows, with his life, that's the whole thing! He's a little lazy (drinking at work, taking credit for his team's accomplishments but not really contributing), lies a little (told whats-her-name that he left his wife when it was the other way around), and his wife leaves him because she's taking herself more seriously than he him. So he hangs out with whats-her-face and doubles down on stagnating.
I mean his freaking name is Whitlock, "grey-hair"! He can't keep bullshitting around, that's really the thing.
I've seen it like 6 times and never even thought about it.
