"this is going to go away" "you're going to have some flare ups" A normal person may avoid the inherent contradiction there.
But this is just a word salad. It means nothing. Or rather, a word buffet. Choose what words you like, discard the rest - that's not what he meant anyway.

You would think that this of all situations would have taught him to be very careful with his words.

As Mik says, this is the problem with Trump. He says things that are without basis. He may be right (which I doubt), but why set yourself up for a "You said this..." gotcha in 5-6 months?
Unforced error.

His playbook of saying simple, sometimes ambiguous but provocative things really doesn’t play well here.
Who knows what goes on his unique mind, but I would think he hates being at the helm of this thing. Who knows.

In a string of unforced errors, usually originating from his own mouth. His actions are much better usually.

Who wouldn't? If you think Biden wants to win, I believe you are wrong.

I don’t disagree with you. I think it takes a certain type of personality to want to do this kinda work - and they exist.
But Trump or Biden didn’t have this in mind.

More than a few of them about himself.

At what point
do wedoes the press stop looking to Trump for answers, leadership, truth...?Yes Mr. Trump, the flu will eventually go away...maybe next year, maybe in 100 years. Such profound insight by this man.
Also his phrase about the “flu dying like everything else” may not be the best phrase when we essentially have a 9/11 death count each day.
