If you don't like Bing, you can always write your own shit search engine that nobody uses, you know.

Google gives a shit-ton of tank man images.

      I was only joking

They've already changed it. I just got lots of references to Tank Man, and the first result was a story about how it tuned up nothing on Bing.

Google, Yahoo!, Bing, DuckDuckGo ... all returned results about “tank man” and Tien An Men incident just fine, though I only tried regular web search, not image search specifically.

Also tried China-based search engines BaiDu and SoHu, both returned no result on the topic (as expected).

@Klaus, is there a search engine popular in Germany (or Western Europe) but not popular in the USA that you have tried this on? If so, how did it go?

Microsoft wrote it was due to “accidental human error”.

                  Define accidental human error. LOL

I saw that, but this wasn’t a random typo or bug. In the best case, it was a single employee who wanted a few minutes of fame. It could also be that they accidentally activated a feature that was supposed to work only in some countries.

Knowing how big software shops typically deploy their software across multiple cloud installations across the globe, I deem this to be the most likely explanation.
