Half (50%) of the public plans to get the Covid vaccine as soon as they are allowed. Those willing to be at the front of the line represent a majority of American adults when combined with the 6% who report already receiving the vaccine. Another 19% say they would prefer to let other people get it first to see how it goes. However, 24% say it is likely they will never get the vaccine if they can avoid it.
Democrats are most eager to get the vaccine as soon as possible (72% when combined with those who already got the vaccine) – much more so than independents (51%) and Republicans (39%). More than 4 in 10 Republicans (42%) say they will avoid ever getting the vaccine if they can, which is significantly higher than the number of independents (25%) and Democrats (10%) who feel the same.
Demographically, Americans aged 65 and older are more likely to be first in line for the vaccine (67% want to get it as soon as they are allowed or have already received it) than younger adults (52%). Those under age 65 (27%) are somewhat more likely than seniors (16%) to say they will never get the vaccine. These differences shift dramatically, though, when filtered through the lens of partisanship.

It's my understanding that certain minority groups who are reliably Democrat are not big fans of vaccination.

I acknowledged that group but based on being sub human experiments versus tribal political thinking. And as Brooks said in the piece, this for the country and it’s a simple trip to pharmacy.

New cases are down 39% from 30 days ago and deaths are down 68% from days ago. There are still between 1.7 million to 2.4 million people each day getting their vax. So sorry it doesn't match your or Mr. Brooks expectations.

Developing countries will often have primitive belief systems. Once western education and cultural norms are in place, you'll see that those cultures will slowly begin to resemble first world cultures. But for the purposes of this discussion, I think we should be focusing on current first world cultures.

Well then you go right ahead and chase them down the street and shoot them. I don't think it is necessary and you'll get yourself into a heap of trouble.
I would just give family members, friends, acquaintances and strangers who come out as anti-vax or Covid conspiracy subscribers the cold shoulder. It suffices, they get the message and stay away.

If you are okay in the future with periodic lockdowns, temporary closing of businesses, less than full capacity at those businesses which are open, remote schooling for the kids, travel restrictions, etc. dont get vaccinated.
If the above bothers you, please get vaccinated.

Nope, not gonna happen.
Economies simply can't take many more protracted lockdowns, so you're going to have to deal with the virus. Besides, the vaccine does not give you immunity. You can - and many will - catch COVID after being vaccinated.
Remote schooling has been a disaster and kids don't carry the virus that well, anyway.
Would you shut the world's economy down for the common cold virus? The two viruses are related, you know.
I think with vaccination...BTW, if you really want to have some fun, herd Americans up and mandate vaccinations at the end of a bayonet, which is what it would take in the short term...Anyway, with vaccination, I think you can keep the virus down to a manageable level. Unless something radically changes, I don't think we will eradicate it.
For that, we can thank all of our Chinese friends down at the lab who weaponized this and then let it out the door...

Oh, that's coming no matter what. SARS 2002, H5N1 (Bird Flu) 2005, H1N1 2009, MERS 2012, 2014-2016 Ebola... Every couple of years a bug breaks through and causes a major scare. The next time a new virus breaks out (and it will, a virus has to virus, it's what they do), expect to see shutdowns and all the rest... Your COVID Vax is not going to stop that from happening. In November of 2022 somebody will sneeze and have a fever in Estonia, the doctors won't be able to nail down the virus, and off we go...

And this tendency to refer to people as Anti-Vax is inaccurate and hurting your cause. Most people I know aren't 100% either way. Most that are waiting are simply waiting. They want to see how it goes. I know of more than one person planning on going in July, they just wanted to give it 6 months to see if there were any obvious health risks that appeared.

There are only a couple of groups who won’t take the vaccine so I am not buying the watch and wait. It’s mostly political, sorry , but the data shows it.
