Well, I bought it Friday, picked it up today.
Mazda CX-5 Signature Turbo. Top trim, has every feature you could imagine. 250hp.

It just blew the competition out of the water in terms of power and features. Even the more expensive brands didn't touch it in this size class. I like the looks of it, especially the top trim with the 20" wheels. And just under 40k out the door.

@brenda He turns 12 next month, and I think 16 is the age here.
I can see him taking this to college and I'll get a really pricey 2 seater and Rachel will roll her eyes. lol

That's where my thoughts were headed, when your son would use it. That sounds about right, college time.
The only part I missed was the eye roll from Rachel.

Few things compare to getting a new car, getting past the looking-at-everything-on-4-wheels, beating back salespeople, getting to understand which options you need and then which options you want. Only thing my new car did not have was 360-degree camera. That would be a cool feature.OK. Sit back, soak up that new car smell, put that puppy into sports mode and punch it!

Actually they’re 19.
It rides much smoother than the honda

Did you get the "GT Premium Package" which has the heads-up display?
I have one in my car and love it.

Just curious which Honda you compared it to.
The CR-V?
What would the comparably equipped Honda cost according to your research?Actually, you might have spreadsheet comparing all the options you seriously considered. Mind sharing that spreadsheet?

Awesome! That vehicle was on out shortlist, but not in that price range.
The Subaru Crosstrek won the day for us. Super cheap. lol
