Nope.
Do I need to?No, but if you did, I'd bet quite a bit that they'd be able to tell you some very interesting stories about 2020. So, just curious if you heard something similar to what I just heard.
Basically that we (America) were about 600,000 infected chickens away from complete collapse.
Do tell....

@aqua-letifer I actually have a friend in the US who works on a chicken farm in the state of Illinois. I will ask her how last year was.

Word on the
streetfarm is, Bird flu wiped a lot of them out last year. Many are selling chickens that are 16, 17 weeks along. Every month, they can regain another week, so they're recovering, but it's a slow grind.A lot more of that in Arkansas than down here. My SIL's husband is VP of Farm Bureau, though, and although his bailiwick is row crops, I'll certainly ask about it when I see him...

Buddy of mine's dad is a poultry farmer. He was getting monthly updates from the feds about the situation so I'm guessing it was/is pretty serious. Affected him quite a bit but with his other business he'll weather it okay.

I talked with my friend who is on a chicken farm in the south middle part of the state of Illinois. Her farm is mostly chickens for pharmaceutical industry and she said that they did not have any serious problems. She is pretty new to her position, so maybe does not have all the inside information.

Interestingly enough, my home town is now debating allowing chickens in the city limits. Hope they do it.
Are you allowed to carry farm animals across State lines in your neck of the woods?
Happens all the time....
