People are letting their guard down much too early. For whatever reason, the city of Cincinnati picked this weekend to open up an area between the stadiums where you can drink on the street. Hundreds showed up.

Third wave already here - UK variant at 30% plus of all tested cases. Seems that more people between the ages of 30 to 45 are showing up at the hospital ER's than last two waves. Even teens are showing more acute symptoms.

I think we're already having a third wave, it's just hidden by the 2.5M vaccinations per day... The fact that we're vaccinating that many people and not seeing the case count dropping is troubling.

That may be turned around if it starts hitting younger folks.

The most prevalent thought is that with 70% plus of the old fully vaccinated this new wave won’t create a crushing hospitalization and death spiral. But still some will die and since it will be mostly younger people it will appear as if it is now killing young people. Watch the stories vs the data and see the gap.

True enough, but what we are seeing here is that more young people are showing up at the ERs. Yet ICU stats remain low and hospitalizations and are not dramatically increasing like in waves 1 & 2.
