Yes! We saw our first two nights ago after putting up the feeder about three days before.
Also changing the bird seed in the bird seeder to keep away the starlings. Sunflower seeds attracted house finches.

I don't think this one is Alphie. This one was very nervous and skittish. When Alphie arrives, he knows he owns the place.
Loki, you might not know about Alphie. Did you hang out at TNCR 2 to 3 years ago? I don't always know or remember when other posters arrived over the years.

1 im thinking white throated kingfisher
2 I’ll never be a birdwatcher

Oh, and another thing, bach, you're already a birdwatcher, though maybe not a birder. Kind of like two different levels of crazy. You're not completely nuts, like some of us are.

We have Huey who has come back the last couple years. He was one of a trio of young ones a few years ago we named Huey, Dewey and Louie. Not sure if he came back last year.
This morning I saw this gorgeous thing on the deck. Can't seem to identify him.
